The garden pavilion is set in a relaxing green zone adjacent to the city centre, providing a restaurant and café in the middle of an airy oasis. The simple square restaurant area is shaded by a light arc structure composed of different materials in order to achieve a dynamic element contrasting with the simple glass cube. The restaurant and cafe are located in a three-level building in the middle of a park, surrounded by greenery and water features. The terrain slopes through several levels, so barrier-free access was easily achieved. The lighting design plays an important role; the building’s coloured lights take on a dramatic effect in the dark and make it an architectural icon and mark it as a prime city centre destination for visitors.
